Victim was shot over two very cold and wet nights. The principal photography lasted from 9 in the evening till 2:30 in the morning, and then we reconvened for reshoots the week after.

A typical shoestring budget, a handful of camera tricks, and a semi-complicated lighting kit that utilized power from the very car that was used as a set, Victim was certainly elevated from what could've been a bad horror attempt to a possible contender by the performance of Cody Luff. He created a character that was believable and canny. Perhaps what was scary was how easily Cody snapped in and out of character.

Filmed in the middle of the Horse production, we needed to crank out this short before it's deadline on the website, so everyone toughed the weather (it had to snow on the day we were shooting, and the subsequent Friday after that) and braved the long hours. Cody even used snow for sweat and mud for dressing. Fun.
